Une hirondelle est entrée dans la chambre ce matin. Chacun sait qu’elles ne croisent plus par centaines comme par le passé. Autant dire ma surprise et mon honneur de voir celle-ci inspecter chez moi un possible habitat. Elle est restée pétrifiée sur le cadre un moment dans la chambre, un choix de perchoir de bon goût.
J’adorais la teinte sombre de ce vieux buffet régional. Je l’ai toujours vu imposer son ombre, à peine osais-je le toucher, encore moins le peindre ! Pas de badigeon de chaux possible sur du vernis, après un premier coup de peinture blanc/gris, il a dévoilé d’élégants détails campagne chic. Son charme gothique a cédé la place. Après une deuxième couche de gris clair, il rayonne de nouvelles notes gustaviennes.
A swallow entered the room this morning. We all know they don’t cross hundreds as in the past. Suffice it to say my surprise and my honor to see this one inspect at home a possible habitat. It remained petrified on the frame for a while in the room, the most aesthetic choice of perch.
I used to love the dark tone of this old regional sideboard. I have always seen it impose a shadow, hardly dared I touch it, much less paint it! No lime painting possible on varnish, but after a first stroke of white/grey paint, it unveiled elegant country chic details. Its Gothic character has given way. After a second layer of light grey, it radiates new Gustavian notes.
Puis quelques temps plus tard, le plateau a été peint également.
